Source and Traceability
We harvest entire plants of Centella Asiatica Extract Powder, including aerial stems, leaves and roots from mature disease free crops. Mouldy, wilted or contaminated material is removed by manual sorting before low temperature drying. The storage conditions avoid oxidation of saponin.

Solubility and Stability Characteristics
Solubility Profile
Standard extract It is freely soluble in hot water and in ethanol, somewhat soluble in cold water. Turbidity may occur in cold water applications. Our modified cyclodextrin form is freely soluble in hot and cold water and shows no precipitation.
Thermal Stability
Keep processing temperatures under 65 degrees C. If it is kept at temperatures above 80 °C for a long time the triterpenes break down and the colour gets darker.
pH Range
Stable at pH 4.0–7.3. Strong acids or alkali destroy the saponin structure.
Light Sensitivity
Powder is stable if sheltered from light and packed airtight. Aqueous liquids oxidise in the presence of light.
Control of Moisture
Hygroscopicity increases with higher amount of triterpenes. Shelf life 24 months vacuum sealed aluminium foil bags and moisture proof drums.

Manufacturing Process
Preparation of Raw Material
The whole plants are sorted, washed and dried at low temperature (40-45 °C). A pulverisation to 20-30 mesh boosts the extraction efficiency.
Ethanol-Water Extraction
The materials are loaded into sealed tanks for 2-3 step extraction using food-grade ethanol-water solution. Filtration is a solids separation process from mixed extract filtrate.
Concentration and De-Alcoholizing
Ethanol recovery and concentrated extract is produced by negative pressure and low temperature concentration below 65 °C.
Purification of Resin (Critical Step)
Macroporous resin columns remove sugars, salts, proteins and colours. Gradient ethanol elution for enrichment of triterpenes:

· 40% specification: Multi-stage cascade elution
Decolorising and Refining
Dark contaminants are removed by secondary vacuum concentration and treatment with activated carbon.
Spray-Drying
Uniform powder is produced by high pressure atomisation with controlled temperature drying.
Modification of cyclodextrin (optional)
The introduction of β-cyclodextrin increases the solubility in cold water via high-pressure homogenisation and spray-drying.
Finishing
Batch homogeneity is achieved by grinding, 80–100 or 200 mesh screening and three-dimensional mixing, followed by vacuum-seal packaging and full testing.
