Production Process

Enzymatic Conversion: UDP-glycosyltransferase enzymes are employed to transfer glucose units onto Reb A directionally, and HPLC is used to monitor the process until desired conversion is reached. Then the enzymes are disabled.
Flocculation & Filtration Food grade flocculants assist in the removal of residual proteins and polysaccharides. Plate filtering produces a clear crude solution.
Ion Exchange Desalting: Clarity is improved by using cation and anion exchange resins to remove salts, pigments and polar contaminants.
Resin Enrichment: Macroporous adsorption resin adsorbs Reb M and gradient ethanol elution separates unconverted Reb A and heteroglycosides.
Concentration: Low temperature ( 65 °C) vacuum concentration is used to recover ethanol and leave a crude Reb M extract.
Recrystallisation Grading: This key stage determines final purity:

· ≥98%: Dual gradient recrystallization
· ≥99%: Preparative chromatography plus multiple recrystallizations
Crystal Washing & Drying: Cold solvent washing, centrifugal dehydration, low temperature vacuum drying in the dark.
